Sand Dollars

The beach that we had access to from the camp ground was a lot of fun!!! Saturday we got up and walked down to the beach. The tide was in but there were some good shells that Kaylee was going to get. So Daddy was helping.



We went back down after lunch and a nap to see a very different beach!! The tide had gone out and there were lots of different things to see!!! Like crazy fast little crabs.

There is this little island out off the beach that I thought was picture worthy so here it is. :)

With the tide out we could also see about a Million sand dollars!!!! I am sure that you think I am kidding or exaggerating But I assure you that I am not! I have never seen anything like it! Did you know that live sand dollars are not white? Nope they are a purple -black. And they have tons of little "hairs" all over that wiggle. They feel crazy and look so odd!

Some of them were huge!!! Connor is holding this one! The kids had fun throwing the live ones back in and piling up the dead ones to bring home!

Robyn was more fun than mom! She would help the kids hold the crabs.

See I told you there were cool shells she wanted.

Where they are in this one was totally covered in water the first time we walked down about 3 hours before this picture was taken. We we walked down the second time the tide was way out and there were tons of people there claming.

We are really enjoying being close to Robyn and Joe! We can't wait to have Reva here to play with us too!
