Who knew...

So I have a little story for you.

There is a Walmart about 15 minutes from our house. We hardly ever go over there for several reasons. But sometime we have to go and today was one of those times. The Army doesn't carry all meds so some times we get an Rx and have to get it filled off Post. So that is why we were over there today. Connor and I went to fill a Rx. We dropped it off and they said it would take about an hour to fill. Which was longer than I wanted to wait but whatever. So we go to look around, nothing tempting... tried to look at movies which I usually LOVE but today I just kept feeling like it was time to go and we would go back to pick it up later. Then I thought stupid we are here lets just wait. Go to look at toys...the boy doesn't want to look at anything. WEIRD!!! Again I feel lets just go. So fine we'll go. I had 2 things in the basket to get but then saw the lines and thought I'm not waiting. So we just leave.

On the way out to the car we walk past one of those armored trucks. And I thought "Man they parked close to the building." So we get in the car and head home still feeling a little "Hmmm, that was odd, the whole thing...Odd." We get down the street about 3 lights and see 2 cops Flying the other direction. The usual things went through my head, "Bummer, some one had an accident."

We make it home and were here about 3 minutes when my phone rings. "Hello!" It was Mike's sister Robyn. She says "You know that Walmart by you? NEVER go there again!!!!!!!!"
"What? We were just there." I replied. Then she informs me, "They just had an armed robbery. One guard was killed 2 others shot. They just had an breaking news thing that cut into the show I was watching. It just happened."

I didn't even know what to say. The whole thing ran through my mind. The feeling we needed to leave, now. The Truck parked to pick up the money. The cops flying past us to where we just came from. We almost had front row seats. So glad we missed it!

Nothing like a little reminder that someone is looking out for you, if you will pay attention. So the moral of the story is listen when you get that little feeling that you should do something.
So I'm glad we are fine, that we didn't get stuck at the store while the cops did their thing. They didn't catch the bad guys.

So needless to say, we will not be going back over there! So how was your day?
